Postgraduates Studies
Postgraduate studies are
something to think about when studying design, in my opinion it’s such a broad
and diverse career that can be performed in so many areas, that it’s important
to plan doing postgraduate studies to go in depth and specialise in a specific
field to dedicate to it eventually.
Nevertheless,
actually taking a postgraduate course implies a lot of effort, they’re usually
very expensive and demand a lot of time in a small amount of semesters. When I
chose this career I did it thinking in its diversity, and the possibilities of
later studies it would give me, that way postgraduate studies are something i’m
personally very interested in, independent of the field I end up choosing, I
would really like to take postgraduate studies that link design with
environment and sustainability, considering that maybe the career isn't very
focused on that. There is actually a postgraduate degree this university offers
that is about that, however to be able to take it I would have to have my
degree and a stable job, because I wouldn’t qualify for a scholarship or other
benefits to pay for it.
Even
though there are some difficulties I would have to overcome to take a
postgraduate course, I really want to do it because it would be a fast way to
keep on learning and improving my work to be a better professional. Also there
are many things I would like to learn that exist in postgraduate courses.
A graduate degree linking design with the environment and sustainability sounds interesting to me :)
